Spoiler warning! This article contains plot details about a movie or upcoming episode. |
The film is a mockumentary yet none of the group were told the real nature of the shoot until filming finally wrapped. In June 2010, one month about Ikuze! Kaitou Shoujo release, film director Koji Shiraishi wanted to film an episode for a paranormal television program, featuring the members of Momoiro Clover. The members of Momoiro Clover are asked to visit an abandoned school to unveil the urban legend of the granting wishes god "Shirome-sama" (シロメさま, lit. White Eyes).
According to local legends, if Shirome is asked to grant a wish, he will do so, but only if the person asking is completely sincere in both their request, and their belief in the existence and power of the Shirome entity. If any wish is asked of this being in a frivolous manner, or in a spirit of unbelief, Shirome will destroy that person, either through causing them to have a fatal accident, inducing them to commit suicide, or driving them hopelessly insane. The girls agreed to visit the abandoned building where the shrine of Shirome located, and request of Shirome that they be granted a chance to appear on Kouhaku Uta Gassen, their goal since being founded in 2008.
The bad case of nerves exhibited by the cast throughout most of the film is real. Takagi remarked, "This is a movie, but there is no acting, nor lines. So, you can enjoy natural expressions of us!".[1]
In November 2014, the film is licensed by Asian Crush and available on Hulu.
